My saturday morning took a diversion to my favourite place to forage for vintage treasure and I was glad I did! I bought this beautiful magazine of bird photographs by Oliver.G.Pike printed in 1907. It was only during breakfast this morning when I was showing it to my mum & dad (they love birds) that mum found it was actually signed by him as well. With a little research I discovered that Oliver G Pike was one of the early pioneers of natural history photography and film making. I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this magazine of prints. I'm treating it as a good sign for my nest venture! I think I will keep the magazine and make prints from it for my own nest when I finally get one of my own!
